Festus Nutakor A Talent Who Wants To Achieve More In His Career
Ghana’s leading online portal allghanasports.com had an exclusive interview with Accra city football club talisman Festus Nutakor
In an interview, with Emmanuel Odoom the dependable midfielder narrated how he started his football career from the scratch.
“Festus Nutakor is my name, i play for Accra city stars a division one club in the capital city of Ghana I am a simple guy and down to earth person . “
“I started my football career from Colts football club called melvic SC in Amasaman.The team is owned by Paul Adjavon and I get the chance to join MTN SOCCER ACADEMY, I was the best Player and had the fair Player award I spent two years with Melvic SC before moving to MTN SOCCER ACADEMY 2015 -2016. “
“I completed Ambassador international J.H.S at Amasaman and later went to Mampong Akuapem Presbyterian S.H.S.”
When asked whether there’s competition at Accra city stars, he said
“Lots of competition in the team especially where I play. But I am versatile that is what is keeping me going”.
When asked if he has a plan playing for any Ghanaian club after Accra City stars ,he said
“.If there is offers from Ghanaian clubs why not I will accept it because I want to play in my own country. Making the name here before moving to achieve in Europe. People like Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah, John Boye , Majeed Ashimeru all made it here before going outside But if there’s offers from abroad to, I would go. It every player dreams to play in the top professional level ” he added
The speedster midfielder revealed what motivates him to play more.
“What motivate me in football, Ah well nothing motivates me more than the “Desire to be the best” wherever I find myself but my huge motivation comes from Emmanuel Nettey of Hearts of Oak and Samuel Sarfo formerly of Liberty professional.”
“No regret in football and I pray not to fall a victim of any midfielder added.”
” Majeed Ashimeru is my role model because of his style of play, and the way he gives back to the society, the way he reconnects with his peeps when he drops to Ghana. I like him so much for that. And my prayer is that God should help me do more of what he’s doing if I have. “
“I love to give because I know how it feels to have nothing” so I would like to follow the steps of Ashimeru, God willing”.
