MATCH PREVIEW: Can Hearts Win The Bragging Right Against Kotoko

It’s the first Super Clash of the 2020/21 season and two teams are ready to slug it for the three points at stake and also for the bragging rights.

Hearts have not been in good form this season. They have failed to live up to their high standards which has left fans being cautious in making their predictions.since the resignation of their former coach Kosta Papic they have won two games in a roll.

Hearts of Oak have won six, drawn five in the league. Last mid-week win against Liberty Professionals was well-deserved but they had to do it the hard way.

They needed to score a late goal courtesy Isaac Mensah to overcome the stubborn Scientific Soccer Lads in Dansoman.Coach Samuel Nii Noi has taken over the mantle from Serbian tactician Kosta Papic after his departure.

For Asante Kotoko, they have a better win record compared to their arch-rivals. The Porcupine Warriors have won their last three games .

Their top striker Kwame Poku has managed to score seven goals out of twelve goals the team have scored.

Since 2006, the two teams have met 24 times in the league. Hearts have had the upper hand with 10 wins while Kotoko have won six(7). Seven (7) have ended in stalemates.

For only matches played in Accra since 2006, Kotoko have won five(6), Hearts have four(4) wins and two(2) have ended in draws.

Players to watch on the side of Kotoko are Fabio Gama and Kwame Poku and the rainbow are also coming with Victor Aidoo who has scored six goals and Isaac Mensah who has won all the three points for Hearts in their last two games.
