MATCHDAY 28: Battle Of Landlords And Tenants In The GPL.

Week 28 in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League has three games that have been dubbed “Battle of Landlords and Tenants”.

Great Olympics Vs Hearts Of Oak

At the Accra Sports Stadium is Hearts Of Oak playing against Great Olympics which is arguably the top liner this weekend.

This fixture is known by many as the Mantse Derby as both clubs fight for the supremacy at the heart of the nations capital.

Great Olympics feels they are the owners of Accra whiles the Phobians feels every laurel and prestige in football at the nation’s capital was manifested by them.

The Phobians will have another chance to redeem their image after losing to their city rival Great Olympics by 2-0.

Asante Kotoko Vs Ashanti Gold SC

At the Ashanti Region is the battle of supremacy as Asante Kotoko host Ashanti Gold who are the owners of the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Despite owning the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Ashanti Gold SC will play as guest to the Porcupine Warriors because Kotoko has adopted the venue for their home games due to the renovations going on at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Ashanti Gold SC feels they own the Obuasi Len Clay stadium but the Porcupine Warriors feels they own the Stadium on technical grounds.

The match is on Sunday and I know after the 90 minutes, we will surely know who owns the City.

Liberty Professionals Vs WAFA

At the Sogakope is Liberty Professionals who will host WAFA after the Dansoman based club adopted the Red Bull Arena as their home did not meet the club licensing board for approval.

Will Liberty Professionals whip their landlords or have sympathy for them?

Time will tell.
